What an amazing hotel and restaurant!!! It was built in the 1800's and has been beautifully restored!! It's romantic, it's fun and it's classy!! Right when you walk in you know this place is very special and very unique!!! You can dress casual or as fancy as you want. Their CHEF'S are amazing and you can tell they have passion in their cooking skills. We went for breakfast and coffee (no latte's) and it was soooo delicious! We cannot wait to go back!!

This is a charming restaurant in a charming hotel in a charming town. The ambiance is lovely. The food was absolutely delicious! We tried the caesar salad, the roasted brussels sprouts, the chicken and the salmon. Each dish was made to perfection with unique but not incongruous flavors. I will definitely return!

Located inside the National Hotel, Lola will not disappoint. We made 11:30am reservations for Sunday Brunch (last Victorian Christmas Saturday). Parking was a challenge because of the event. Service was prompt. We enjoyed their craft cocktails before ordering our meal. The mushroom scramble was delicious. We also enjoyed their olive oil cake (forgot the pic) ala mode for dessert. Oooh so good.

Came here for a little soup and salad and it was good! The atmosphere in here is very beautiful and love the bar too. We enjoyed the salad more than the soup only because it felt more like a seafood soup than clam chowder.

The food was exceptional; so was the ambiance. It's one of the most beautiful restaurants I've been to. The prices are a smidge high; but fair. This is our new favorite brunch place around the Grass valley / Nevada city area. If they had fresh squeezed juice and good espresso drinks with latte art and all; they'd be unbeatable.

Food was Delicious! Highly recommend making a reservation. Recently remodeled but still has old time charm!

Wow!! Delicious food and stunning interior design renovation. My friends wanted to travel to Nevada City for the Christmas market and I remembered that Emily Henderson featured the hotel redesign so I wanted to go for both things, and neither disappointed. Might use photos of the dining hall for future home renovations. We ordered: - various cocktails and wines. I ended up with an orange wine bc none of the cocktails were jumping out at me but previous seasonal menus looked good. I also loved my friends honey dessert wine - brussel spouts: Tis the season , and they were perfectly crispy and oily and salty - kabocha squash entree: a perfect blend of vegetables, light carbs, and protein from the lentils. I couldn't decide whether I liked the flavor of the mustard-cumin-fennel(?) tadka or the sauce (which was labeled romanesco but I felt was halfway between a romanesco and a coconut milk South Indian sauce) flavor better - all worked for an epic mouth experience - lamb entree: tender with perfectly cheesy polenta without being too heavy - pork chop entree: a massive piece of meet, somewhat unevenly cooked but still yummy Logistics: - indoor seating only - limited street parking nearby - 1-2 vegetarian entrees - reservations recommended especially around the Christmas market - there's a separate, louder and more crowded bar area with tables , see if you can sit in the main dining room

Ate here twice for dinner while staying at the National Exchange for a get away... Classy and inviting ambiance, lively with periodic live music or performers. Dinner was excellent both nights - special shout out for the foccacia, budino (sooooo good), and house pickle plate, all of which were exceptional. Friendly, attentive service. Definitely one of the best dining options in Nevada City.

What a gorgeous place! I've never taken so many photos of an interior (and bathroom) for inspiration before. Aside from the gorgeous atmosphere and bluegrass on a Monday night the food was delicious and service was amazing. Our waitress gave great guidance since it was hard to narrow down what we wanted. I'm confused by subpar or 3-star reviews, but we did come on a weekday night (which was still pretty busy!) The focaccia bread was the real MVP of the night and should be missed! Ceasar was great and the French onion soup was pretty good, but felt some regret not getting the chowder. As for entrees my husband and I shared the squash which was so filling and a nice veggie choice. Definitely don't pass up on Lola's!
